The Audacity of Christian Art

This video introduces you to a series of seven videos on the Audacity of Christian Art presented by Dr Chloë Reddaway, the Howard and Roberta Ahmanson Curator in Art and Religion at the National Gallery, London. Created during her fellowship teaching in the M.A. Program this series of seven short films looks at paintings from the National Gallery’s Renaissance collection and explores some surprising and ingenious artistic responses to the challenge of painting Christ. during her fellowship teaching in the M.A. Program. These videos give you an inside view of the thinking and the artistry that went into many iconic paintings of Christian subjects. It is one of the products of the collaboration between the National Gallery and King’s College.
